Parents of 1-2 year olds:
You may be feeling worried about when your baby will roll (or crawl, or walk!), how to help them sleep better at night, and what to do to make nap time, mealtime, and transitions less difficult.
Are they babbling enough? Eating enough? Sleeping enough? Playing with the “right” toys? Get enough of my attention? Playing on their own enough?
What helps them with social skills? Language skills? Learning skills?
Underneath those questions are often two broader ones: "Is my baby ok?", and “Am I doing this right?”
"AM I DOING ENOUGH TO HELP MY BABY REACH THEIR FULL POTENTIAL?"
Let’s bring you to a place where feel confident and knowledgeable about supporting your baby.
The goals of The Infant Development Circle are to give you:
🦋 reassurance,
🦋 knowledge,
🦋 strategies,
🦋 empowerment, and
🦋 community.
You ARE enough, and your baby has an amazing ability to do what they do when they are ready.
Are you ready to explore development and feel more confidence in your baby's development?
Do you want to know what to DO to support their motor, cognitive, sleep, feeding, and social development?
If so, I am excited to welcome you.
___
WHAT IS THE INFANT DEVELOPMENT CIRCLE?
It is a transformation in the way you support your baby’s development.
It resolves the uncertainty you have about whether your baby is doing what they “should” be doing, and whether you’re doing what you ought to be doing to support them.
———
🦋 LEARN EVIDENCE-BASED PERSPECTIVES AND STRATEGIES TO SUPPORT DEVELOPMENT.
🦋 GROW CURIOSITY WHILE REDUCING WORRY.
🦋 CONNECT WITH OTHER PARENTS.
IF YOU ARE A PARENT WHO IS FEELING OVERWHELMED AND UNSUPPORTED ABOUT:
how to promote your baby’s development and are wondering who to ask for answers?
what activities and toys support your baby's development?
the conflicting information about solid foods, sleep, developmental activities, and how to parent in a connected way?
the isolation and lack of connection with other parents?
…the Infant Development Circle provides you with information, reassurance, and validation.
The Infant Development Circle is:
a multi-week live and in-person group led by Heather Boyd, Occupational Therapist, in Niagara, Ontario
a group with evidence-based strategies and perspectives that support you in raising your baby and helping them develop
an opportunity to connect in a safe, and supportive environment with other parents with babies at about the same stage of development.
an online self-paced learning hub that gives you resources that will continue to support the way you parent well beyond this current stage of development.
WE WILL EXPLORE MILESTONES, STRATEGIES, AND PERSPECTIVES ON:
gross motor development and motor building activities
fine motor development and toys
sleep development and how to parent through the sleepless nights
cognitive development, play, and learning
sensory processing and brain development
early communication
feeding and mealtimes
YOU ARE JUST WEEKS AWAY FROM FEELING MORE RELAXED AND CONFIDENT ABOUT TRUSTING YOUR BABY’S DEVELOPMENT AND HOW TO SUPPORT IT.
You enjoy watching your baby grow and develop.
You want to help your baby.
This group helps you know how.
What the multi-week program includes:
Weekly live sessions for asking questions, sharing stories, exploring perspectives, and talking about real strategies that make parenting through this amazing stage easier (or at least a bit more fascinating!). (These are recorded in case you can’t attend live).
Resources and handouts available for each week of the series.
Exclusive fees if you choose to work one-on-one with me for three months.
Recorded Interviews with other experts in fields that support mothers and babies.
IMAGINE BEING PART OF A COMMUNITY OF PARENTS WITH SHARED EXPERIENCES WHO CAN RELATE TO YOUR WORRIES AND HOPES.
Parenting is hard. It can feel isolating. And you may have lots of questions about how to support your baby’s development. You may worry about whether you should be doing it differently, or whether what you’re doing is “good enough”.
Having a safe space to share, support each other, and talk about strategies that help parents navigate these turbulent times is what the Infant Development Circle is all about.
This series has not been offered live since 2020!
Specific themes each week, and live sessions to connect, share, and learn, the Infant Development Circle helps you move from concern to curiosity about your baby’s development.
